I'll not bother to get on my soapbox about why women should not be in combat.....no one is listening.....

I've just seen it. As a matter of fact I thought my thread is a doublicate, but I double checked both titles and before copying and pasting the article I did a search by title as I always do, and had not seen it posted

I'm listening, and agree with you completely.

I agree with you and I'm a woman. I'd never leave my kids in the first place. That's always been my first duty.

I always try to look at this from a reality point. I work outside and I work with a gentleman who is quite strong and he's like a brother to me. I always think of us getting hurt on the job. I know he could carry me out but, with a lump in my throat, I can hear myself having to say "I'll go for help". And leave my brother behind??????
If I had to leave my fellow soldier in the field behind, I would know that I didn't belong there. I'm simply not as strong as a man.

I think people are listening and I am one who agrees, but...
I hope this shuts up some who insisted she received tender loving care after merely surviving a vehicle accident.

I hate saying this, but last year, when one of my friends came back from the gulf, he told me the same thing, and that a few marines knew. They all guessed that it would never ever get out to the media and would be kept quiet.

I just found this thread while doing some research--I doubt it will quiet the tinfoil hatters who insist that she was never raped. If the medical records themselves were produced, I suspect they'd just say they were fabricated as part of the grand conspiracy.
