It was great! Bush read from Teddy's speech on the senate floor, word for word. Ted was covering his face with his hands and then got up to walk off.

Oh Lord! Talk about one blue-blood smacking a drunk in the face with etiquette and proper manners and common decency!! Any news story on this yet?!? I bet it was the Silver Fox who put Poppy up to it!! Hehehe...can't wait to see this on the news tonight.

Tony Snow showed it at the end of Special Report. If you get FNC it will be on again at 11:00CST.

Yep.
To: hobson
I gotta figure out how I can manage to stay up and watch it at 11:00! Please tell, did Kennedy laugh it off and go along with being outted as a complete jerk?
To: demkicker
It looked like he was laughing when Bush told him " come back here and sit down!." It was priceless. Surely CSPAN will show it at some point. I'll check their website and get back to you.

Please do! I'm dying to see the whole thing.

Sheeesh. CPAN has gone to pot. They don't have it on their schedule. If your interested in the "Resignation Speech of Speaker Wright" whoever that is, your in luck.</saracasm>

I just saw part of it at the bottom of the hour news on Fox. You heard teddie talking, saw Daddy Bush responding (but not what he said - just teddie walking off and coming back).

I'm not sure that GHW Bush is the one who selected the recipient of the award. From the link at the top of the thread, to the GHWB foundation, it appears that the board of directors may be the ones who do the selecting.
Whatever the case, it appears that GHWB gave Teddy a good FReeping onstage, before he presented the award. GHWB held his own protest, it seems.
I hope everyone who went out for the FReep today had a fun time, and that a report and photos will be forthcoming.

Is EMK still married to the Louisiana native Vicki Reggie Kennedy? Her father was a power broker for Edwin Washington Edwards.

About 50 people, including a man dressed up to look like the senator, staged a protest of his campus appearance. It was organized by the A&M chapter of the Young Conservatives of Texas. - Dallas Morning News Article

"Mr. Bush, who personally selected the senator for the award..." (source: Dallas Morning News article linked above by DrewsDad) I stand corrected. And disappointed in GHW Bush's judgement.
