WASHINGTON - Congressional Republicans were livid yesterday over a staff memo in which Senate Intelligence Committee Democrats lay out a plan to gain politically from the probe into prewar intelligence.
The memo, first revealed by the Fox News Channel, outlines a plan by Democrats to cooperate with Republicans on the Intelligence Committee to squeeze information out of the Bush administration - and then surprise them next year by calling for a new independent probe while accusing the Republicans of foot-dragging.

Finally, there's a conservative press to "leak to". It's about time...

The memo is only part of a far greater movement afoot. (So nice of the Norwegians to publish this info.) I hope that when people contact the media or their representatives that they include this tidbit as well.
"Norway's Labour Party is joining other European social democrats in linking up with the Democrats in the US. The goal is to be prepared with common strategies if a majority of them on both sides of the Atlantic come back to power.
A group of European social democrats, led by former British Foreign Minister Robin Cook, met last week with several top Democratic politicians and party officials. They included US senators Hilary Clinton and Joseph Biden.
They also had meetings with Ron Klain of presidential candidate Wesley Clark's campaign, and Stan Greenberg, former US President Bill Clinton's campaign strategist in 1992."

Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), the top Intelligence Committee Democrat, tried to focus on the leak of the memo, claiming it was taken from a waste bucket or through unauthorized computer access. Sean Hannity debunked this. Sean knows who gave him the memo. Last night while debating this with John Corzine (a Democrat member of the Intelligence Committee would not appear--but Corzine, who vies for Schumer as the most desirous of having his mug on TV did), Sean said in so many words that he would love to be "put under oath" so he could tell the truth about who slipped him the memo. Sean continues to say that we would all be surprised at the "leaker". Sean also says the memo was written at the direction of a Democrat Senator.

All Democrats are not treasonists. The Senator probably has a patriot on his staff. That will change.

What difference does that make? The whole issue is the content of the memo, NOT the method by which it was leaked. Rockefeller's comments are simply a red herring to try and distract us from the content of the memo itself.

More treason?
"They also had meetings with Ron Klain of presidential candidate Wesley Clark's campaign"
Hmmm... Didn't someone say that Clark could be recalled and court-martialed?
To: randita
Wonder if the Dems know who the leaker is yet? Talk about a witch hunt.

Sean also says the memo was written at the direction of a Democrat Senator. If this is true, then that Senator not only needs to be removed from office but also needs to be spending some time at Leavenworth..... treason...

This needs a thread of it's own.

Sean also says the memo was written at the direction of a Democrat Senator. DOes not say that the DEMOCRATIC SENATOR was a member of the committee.
Could it be....
1.Schumer?
2. Teddy?
3. HRC?
4. Dasshole?
5. Any combination of the above.
Bayh said Rocke' was having "pressure put on him". Now who would do that?

Norway ..the home of Quisling, they're at it again. If only there was a National Socialist Party in Germany they could join with again.

CNN actually had something on last night. Dobbs was talking to Rockefeller about it. What I saw, though, was not what I'd call a hard-hitting interview.

I read on another thread that Lou Dobbs on CNN last night discussed "the memo".
I don't think Lou Dobbs is a happy CNN camper. I wonder if he gets invited to the CNN Christmas party this year?

Not to worry, there's one in the USA as this article points out.
