Lot of truth to that, I agree.

How's that Travelin' Soldier sounding about now. ; * )
(I think Toby got robbed too! Who's your daddy, Alan Jackson?)
To: Stewart_B; Chancellor Palpatine
He did exactly the same thing with me at Ole Miss when Fingers Taylor and I had to nearly carry him to the car "the morning after".....then he fought with me to drive.
I had an antique Mercedes I'd borrowed from a buddy of mine...no way.
His room of course had a bevy of co-eds "sleeping over". What he did with them after an evening of drinking, cocaine and valium is doubtful....he probably passed out.
He is damn witty though but unfortunately a liberal....just like his cousin Warren.
Mobile native and Southern Miss grad I think isn't he?

Thanks!

The tribute was fine last night except for Hank Jr. He was very disrespectful in not only trying to imitate Johnny's voice but he was acting like he was snorting lines of coke and rubbing his nose. What a
b@#%$*d! Hope they ripped him a new one last night! Anyone else see that?

These Hollywood wannabe's we don't much care for around here---this "new" country stuff "Greeting Card Country", I call it. Put together four lines that rhyme and would look good on a greeting card and you've got a country song these days. I listen to bluegrass or classic western stations instead.

Actually Hank's been doing that for years in his concerts. The insiders in Nashville "get the joke" and understand it. Hank always considered JC as a second father to him, believe me there was no disrespect intended.
To: TruBluKentuckian
I don't think Hank Jr. is very talented. He's been riding on his father's coattails too long.
I didn't get it and I think the majority of people watching thought he was just being disrespectful or just plain wierd.
To: cowtowney
Actually Hank's very talented, he is a better musician and singer than his father was, though no where near the song writer even though he as written some excellent songs.
Hank's had to live both sides of the fence for a long time. He's tried to be his own man, but for years had to bow to the pressures of Nashville and his mother to be his father.
To: TruBluKentuckian
If he wants to be his own man, he should stop singing songs about his father.
Maybe I just don't like his style.

I fell asleep at 10 PM due to the flu, so I miss the rest of the show. What's with you and guitarists? ;)

And about that flu... Why didn't you get a flu shot? Don't feel bad; I just got mine the other day as an afterthought while at the doctor's office.
Drink plenty of fluids and take something with an antihistamine in it -- if you're lucky you'll sleep right through it and not even know you're sick.

We've got one of the best classic country/bluegrass stations in America right here in Rogue River...KRRM.

I'm mostly over it, kid - I'm heading into Manhattan tomorrow to get my hair cut, and to see NYC one last time before it's nuked.
To: ThePointer
Toby got robbed, yes, and he puts on a great show! Blake Shelton was his second opening act (blanking on the first). Scotty Emerick is a tremendous talent, too - his CD is out in early January.
