2) Assiduously prepare Democratic "additional views" to attach to any interim or final reports the committee may release. Committee rules provide this opportunity and we intend to take full advantage of it. In that regard, we have already compiled all the public statements on Iraq made by senior administration officials. We will identify the most exaggerated claims and contrast them with the intelligence estimates that have since been declassified. Our additional views will also, among other things, castigate the majority for seeking to limit the scope of the inquiry. The Democrats will then be in a strong position to reopen the question of establishing an independent commission (i.e. the Corzine amendment).

Because that is the term Zell Miller chose, then softened.

My gut instinct is - connect the dots and you can party with BJC & HRC.

You are quoting conservative talk show hosts who opposed the Kosovo war, not Repbulican members of Congress. I was talking about Repbublican members of Congress. They were against the Kosovo war but they remained very civil. As opposed to Kennedy, Gephart, Pelosi and others who are calling Bush a LIAR simply because they disagree with his policy.
It's a difference of kind, not of degree.

They've been doing much, much worse. Some of these treasonous, traitors WANT us to do badly in Iraq so they can win the Pres.election in 2004. They do NOT care if its over more dead military bodies. There are scores of websites where the enemies of this nation have either quoted or DELIBERATELY been given information that has interrupted intelligence disinfo efforts during a time of war!
Check out www.comitesirak.free.fr/mm1.htm for a progressive Democrat's view of how to be "patriotic" His name is Ivan Eland from supposedly "independent" institute being run out of Oakland, California. This is a website that is currently recruiting for Saddam Hussein! Our old enemies the communists at antiwar.com are also involved.
I plan on reporting these bastards to the FBI-treason is treason.

Maybe Hillary, but it has a lot of the Great Political Schemer Bill Clinton in it. He has been tutoring his classmates.

One of our diplomats was told by a certain Russisan (whose name I don't recall) that the USA may have won the cold war battle they would win the real war from within and they HAVE been doing a good job of socializing this country, haven't they?
If you really want to know how full of socialists and communistis this nation has (especially within the Dumocrap Party), run a google search; these idiots don't even have Ivan+the good sense to hide it any more. Many so called "journalists" are actually communists or socialists.
McCarthy was absolutely right about many in Hollywood.
All you have to do these days to find out what party affilation anyone well known has is to plug their name into google and use a plus sign and a party designation, e.g. Ivan+Eland+Democrat.
It's also easy using whois or internic to find the owners of anti-Bush web sites.
Some communists, socialists and anarchists (and not a few terrorist supporters) belong to the Green Party.

Investigating the possibility that the White House may have deliberately mislead the nation, which I do not think is the case...
I've never come across any of your posts prior to this thread. But there is something in the tone of your posts here that make me think you do believe the President misled the nation.
In any case, I agree with you regarding the fact that there is nothing treasonous about the memo. Foolish and deeply mean-spirited, perhaps, but not treasonous. However, it does indicate the Dems want to take what should be the most non-partisan oversight possible and turn it into a highly partisan witch hunt. That is a betrayal of their oversight responsibilities and in a most dangerous subject area, to boot. It certainly undermines my confidence in any investigative procedures the Intelligence Committee might conduct from here on out.

What they're doing is EXACTLY what they've falsely accused the president of doing: Manipulating intelligence to further their political goals.
Precisely!
The Dems also are pretending that concerns about the danger Iraq's WMD posed were just invented by President Bush in mid-2002. In fact, the Bush 41 and Clinton administrations, the United Nations and all of their inspection teams, the British, Iranians, Saudis, Kuwaitis and other countries all had exactly the same concerns for all of the 15 or so years before. The Dem senate passed and Bill Clinton signed the Iraq Act of 1998 that made regime change in Iraq the policy of the United States and spelled out our concerns about his WMD. So if any intelligence was faulty, whose was it and when? Only when the Dems answer that question will I even entertain the notion of taking them seriously now.

The scheme is more manifesto than memo; it is ludicrous to think that it could have been concocted by anyone other than the clintons. hillary talks: On White House Coverups

The clintons control the Democratic Party, have impressive presidential-coup field experience (on both ends, spanning three decades), and are beginning to understand that, for reasons ranging from Rudy to rape, they don't have forever to make their move. Hence, the scheme... and the memo.... If the Ds really want their party back, they should make their move now. Someone out there can finger the clintons. He should do it. Now. Mia T, YOO-HOO Ds! A former member of the Clinton administration is being linked to a bombshell Senate Intelligence Committee memo outlining a strategy to use information gathered by the committee to help drive President Bush from office in 2004. In an editorial Friday, the Wall Street Journal reports: "[Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-WV] refuses to denounce the memo, which he says was unauthorized and written by staffers. If that's the case, at the very least, some heads ought to roll. A good place to start would be minority staffer Christopher Mellon, who serves as deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence in the Clinton administration." One of Mellon's former bosses, former first lady Hillary Clinton, has been sharply critical of the Bush administration's policy in Iraq. Last week she accused the White House of trying cover-up battlefield casualties and said Bush's decision to invade Iraq was "the antithesis of the rule of law." The Journal recommended that, until those responsible for Democrats' decision to politicize intelligence are fired, the Intelligence Committee should be "shut down, cleaned out and reconstituted later, preferably after the next election."
