color me skeptical. As was said on an earlier thread, reporting pro American sentiments from Iraqis has be read on the context that nearby are hulking bad ass US GIs with big guns. That sort of thing tends to alter one's statements and perceptions.

the media is out to do what is best for the media...
make money, sell drama, keep people reading...
peace and harmony doesnt sell much, can you say instigator?
the us will pull out of iraq probably prematurely because the terrorists know how to play the media game. They attack every couple of days with just enough to catch reader's eyes and make us think "wow, our troops are getting whacked left and right! maybe they need to get out of there, the iraqis obviously dont appreciate our presence"
how often do you see articles about the silent majority who probably feels pretty good about what we are doing there?
bush is gonna crack eventually, just a matter of time, elections are coming up... wouldn't it be nice though if he did the right thing and stayed until the job was done right, and avenge his father's mistake of leaving saddam alive. I know what i want for christmas!

"...Unless they are careful, journalists in Iraq will simply gravitate to covering whatever is on fire today,..."Maybe the terrorists can come up with a flypaper strategy of their own. 'Come see Western Journalists' punished for insulting Allah!
