We the undersigned, in responce to a seperate petition, argue that Ted Nugent lives the American Dream. He uses what he hunts, respects the community and nature and does not intentionally prolong the sufferieng of any animal intentionally.

Ted does many things to educate about the proper ways of using nature and what God has given us. He teaches how to live of the land, instead of in a supermarket. He defends the constitution as a whole, doesn't pick and choose what parts he wants and throw the rest out. He is in many peoples eyes the quintesential American.

"Surviving Nugent" was a top rated show for VH1 and we urge you to keep airing the show and develop another season. It is entertaining, educational and inspiring. Watching the show it becomes very clear that he loves nature and animals and more importantly respects both. Mr. Nugent is somebody who should be held up as a role model, he lives the American Dream and continues to inspire people, young and old, on a daily basis.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Does anyone have that Calvin "piss on PETA" sign? My wife wants a photocopy to stick it on her car window.

Ted Nugent: "Since I butcher most of my own deer and big game, I take special pride in the personal handling of all the precious by-products of my kills. I cut the head off at the base of the skull and begin the meticulous task of skinning and fleshing the entire skull down to the minimal meat and bare bone."

Wouldn't Ted be happier just buying the Hormel meat-packing plant and living there as is??

I love Nug, but hey -- occassionally he's got to get away from "meat-related" activities. It won't kill 'em to read a good book, do an occassional crossword puzzle, build a deck, OR eat pasta in between dicing up carcasses from sunrise to midnight.

Not to change the subject, but I was reminded of one of those 'Calvins' where he was wearing a sombrero, and his target was 'La Migra'. (Spanish for the INS.) Pretty bold. I like the 'PETA' one myself.

I'm waiting for Nugent to build his house out of deer bone, cartilidge, hide, and skeletal remains...

After he's done there with his "Dream House of Bone," I'm quite positive Ted's got enough deer scrap on hand somwhere to rebuild Twin Towers I and II!

Honestly, I'll take wild game over grocery store meat any day. There's a world of difference between natural meat and mass produced stuff. It's like comparing mushy white bread to fresh ground whole wheat sourdough bread.

Didn't Nugent write a cook book called "Kill and Grill"?

I don't doubt it, but I understand from rabid-hunter bro-in-laws it's an acquired taste...

While I am fervently pro-Nuge, I just find he's juust a bit obsessed. I absolutely love that he drives PETA and the libs crazy.

"Kill 'em and Grill 'em." LOL. It's a very good cookbook if you like hunting for fresh, un-hormoned/antibiotic infected meat.
I do use store bought meat, but have a lot of concerns about it. That's why we like wild game and raise small farm animals of our own.
I saw a show on the tube where young boys were growing boobs. The first thought that came into my mind was lactating hormone given to dairy cows to produce more milk - milk that goes into the American diet. Eeeeeuuuuwww. It gave me the creeps!

Spell check? Grammar check?

It doesn't help anyone's credibility to circulate petitions that look like Miss Crabtree's third grade class wrote the bloody thing after telling her that 2 and 1 is shoe polish, and 3 and 1 is oil.

We can do better.

She expected everyone else there to change their actions and beliefs because she wanted them to. All the others were "wrong" and one person, a liberal wacko, had the right to decide for everyone.
I'm glad he knocked her down a notch. She deserved it.
