Besides, how much fun was it having that puppy with a mouth of teeth use your arm as a chew toy?Much fun! Like a grandbaby! Play with it and give it back to its momma! LOL!
Before I can get another dog, I have to find out where the poison is coming from. It only happened the past year--twice. I had Schnitzel 2 years here and she never had a problem. Lived to be 17 1/2. I still think the "nut" next door put out squirrel poison and they brought it to my yard. Weinie didn't go into her yard. We have a lot of trees and I think the squirrels got it, ran into my yard and dropped it from a tree. One day I will go ask her if she put it out but right now I'm not ready to be charged with "assault."

My daughter has all house cats now that two have just disappeared. The neighbors lost a dog to poison and it never got out on his own.
Trust is shaken and it takes a
long time to get back confidence.I had not thought about squirrel poison. An accident would make it not seem so cruel.
