[history]
The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Tuesday he spoke too hastily when he said the White House would provide his panel with the documents and interviews it is seeking for its inquiry on prewar intelligence on Iraq.
But the chairman, Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., said he is optimistic that the committee will get everything it wants.

Roberts is too stupid.
He needs to go.
Perhaps he just embarrassed at being used by his 'good pal' Jay "West Virginia Carpetbagger" Rockefeller.

And you wonder why 43 doesn't trust you lot enough to tell you the time of day. There's someone up there with some intelligence all right, and he's not sitting on any dang committee!

Was the memo dated? I wonder if the WH had a heads up on the memo. This report is very telling in many respects.
To: Brian S
Hey, Pat! Your RAT colleagues are trying to screw the president, and you're their dupe! I hope the WH tells you to shove the documents!

I don't know about the memo in particular, but I think the WH is wise to one heck of a lot. And if the WH ever decides to make public what it knows...well, this will look like a walk in the park in comparison. Mark my words.

Hopefully, Roberts will get a clue with the revelation of internal memo among the Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, in which Roberts is characterized as a useful idiot.

We have speculated here over the past year and a half regarding leaks from this committee and the possibility of selective briefings to various individuals just to see what hits the streets. Like you, I believe the WH is on to a lot of the Dems mess. I also think something is coming to head and when it bursts there will be Democrat puss all over the place.

Perhaps they created this memo as a diversion from the Iraqi Blood Money received by "famous people and politicians" in exchange for favorable opinion of Saddam Hussein.

Just heard Howard Fineman on NBC's Today show say something to the effect that Pres. Bush's decision to go to war against Iraq was the biggest presidential decision made in ten years. Think Clinton will cringe at that sound bite?
The war in Iraq is being played in the press as a bumbling attempt, and yet, no matter how much the press complains, WE ARE WINNING!

Yep. I think it is our duty to keep this story alive. I don't think this can be passed off as the ramblings of some lesser flunkee on a staff. I will bet that the copy Sean had did NOT come from a wastebasket, but was received on several senators' desks.
Although I have often suspected base motivations in the democrat camp, having the written proof is quite satisfying, although infuriating.
To: Dog
Rockefeller trying to shift attention of the memo to being a plea by the committee for the WH to cooperate with their investigation.
Won't work Rocky. You can dress this pig up, but it's still a pig.
