Is anyone listening to Hannity? He just read a memo from a dem party staffer (i think) on the select committe on intelligence (or some such), which, as he describes it, shows the the dem committe members are pre-planning a political assault on the pres. and care nothing for our security, which is their job.
He's acting like this is the hottest scoop since I don't know what, I'm at work so I'm only 1/2 listening, plus he read the whole thing which seemed to be a least 2 pages long, a little tough to follow being in beaurocrat-speak.
Is this really important? And will this story grow legs?

"Yeah, along with [hating] those on FR that think "there is nothing here, let's just move along".
We've gone over to the other side because we see the memo as ugly partisanship rather than treason? I don' think so. We [conservatives] have got to get our facts straight, not only because that's the right thing to do, but because the media won't give us a pass the way they do for liberals. If we keep raising false issues, we won't make any inroads with the general public. I think Hannity is overstating the significance of this memo.

"Slick willy taught that ANYTHING goes in love and war." Only problem is that somebody forgot to clue the Republicans in that this is war...and I'm not talking about Iraq. We have more dangerous problems at home to worry about (not discounting the effort in Iraq, mind you)....the RATs are making sure of that. The communazi ideology of the RATs is making our country vulnerable to attack on multiple fronts. It is high time we stop treating these people as if they're just Americans who have different ideas about protecting our country. It is not their goal or desire to protect it at all, but to destroy it, at least as a sovreign and free nation. They are the enemy!

Sean said the memo came to him from a "staffer" --- a staffer of one of the SIC senators. My guess is a Di-Fi or John Edwards staffer because the other democrat SIC senators are dang near communists.

Never heard of a setup?
Every one of your points is correct, but you fail to see the motivation behind what the Democrats are doing. The information is not the point, it is the PERCEPTION behind the information, that they hope to generate, because although the information does not hurt Bush, they can spin it that it MIGHT, except that they cannot bring it to the public, without an Independent Counsel, with his power to subpoena and declassify information on his own. It doesnt matter that there is nothing there.
The goal is give the Republicans a Hobsons choice, either deny Democrats their Independent Counsel, and let the Dems and the Media spin it as evidence that something is wrong inside the administration, or DENY them their IC, and have the Dems and Media spin it as the Republicans trying to COVER UP something wrong inside the Administration.

Someone earlier suggested the nickname "Memogate" for this scandal. Much too general. If you really needed to use the tired old "-gate" suffix, I would suggest "Intelgate". More specific, and more incriminating.

It is not in our interest to scream "Treason!" when the evidence does not meet the legal definition. It's from the intell commitee, and in the summery, they're saying intell is secondary to eliminating a sitting president.

There's alot of assuming going on. What if the Dems planted it, as in, only gave it to one person to test his/her loyalty, but the actions in the memo are not the Dems intentions?
