Sean Hannity has a scoop on dem party corruption (Vanity)
Sean Hannity radio show ^ | 11/04/03 | Unknown Democrat (via Sean Hannity)

Posted on 11/04/2003 1:27:18 PM PST by jocon307

Is anyone listening to Hannity? He just read a memo from a dem party staffer (i think) on the select committe on intelligence (or some such), which, as he describes it, shows the the dem committe members are pre-planning a political assault on the pres. and care nothing for our security, which is their job.

He's acting like this is the hottest scoop since I don't know what, I'm at work so I'm only 1/2 listening, plus he read the whole thing which seemed to be a least 2 pages long, a little tough to follow being in beaurocrat-speak.

Is this really important? And will this story grow legs?

You are flat wrong.

This is beyond politics by a mile.

The intelligence committee has special duties, because of the nature of the information shared with them. They are not allowed to do anything with that information BUT use it to PROTECT the security of the United States.

ANY other use of that information is a felony, period.

"[We can verbally mention some of the intriguing leads we are pursuing.]"

This to me is highly suspicious. They can mention it verbally, but not in writing? Why not - unless it's classified?

I believe I mentioned back then that it was Senator Graham leaking the information. We now know why he is not running for office again. This is his parting shot.

He is not going to play his cards in public. They will handle it internally, because that is what the Senate does. Roberts is not going to go off on the Democrats until he knows more.

Up to what? All I see is that the Dems are trying to make the Administration look bad, calling for investigations into Rummy, Wolfie, etc. Politics as usual. Not treason. No illegality as far as I can see. Maybe there's a lot more to this memo than has been posted.

As long as they aren't comprimising classified information, then there's probably nothing illegal here. I was listening to Sean as I drove home this evening. Legal or not, however, the point Sean kept making over and over again is the fact that the Dems seem to have no concern whatsoever about strengthing National security, protecting our troops, or winning the war on terror. There's no mention by anyone on their side about any of those issues. Instead, this memo illustrates how they are using their positions on the Intelligence Committee, and the access to intelligence reports, for the sole purpose of attacking the President, and furthering their own political ambitions. It's all well and good that Hannity's talking about it, but this point needs to be hammered home again and again through a variety on media outlets. Otherwise, the sheeple will have no idea that this is even going on.

Maybe Roberts will offer the Dems a power-sharing arrangement a la Trent Lott.

I told you so. Robert's next act is to consult with Rockyfeller, the ranking demoncRAT. I'm sure he'll be on his knees begging Rocky to kiss and make up...... as I said...... NO BALLS

If Roberts ingnores this .. then he is just as guilty if this is not looked into
