For the interest of full disclosure, Montel is also a big PETA supporter.

Therefore you only support busting liberals for drugs while conservatives should be granted Drug War Immunity?

Uh could you point me to where I said that on this thread.

Oh wait a minute, you Libertarians make Hillary blush with your use of hyperbole, nevermind.

,i>Your comment is mean-spirited and cruel.

What's even worse is that I thought it was funny too...

"The available clinical data are too meager to either accept or dismiss the suggestion that marijuana or cannabinoids relieve muscle spasticity. But the few positive reports of the ability of THC and related compounds to reduce spasticity, together with the prevalence of anecdotal reports of the relief provided by marijuana, suggest that carefully designed clinical trials testing the effects of cannabinoids on muscle spasticity should be considered"

Same thing with Montell. I like him, thank him for his service to our country and his community, but if he broke the law, he should pay the price just like everyone else.

But everyone else doesn't pay the price. Take a look thru NORMAL and you'll see a dozen or so of our politicans kids that have escaped the law with Federal MMS penalties. Our current AG has a couple nephews that are a prime example, along with Shelby. Can't have a free people with a two tiered justice system.

"The use of marijuana to treat any illness remains highly controversial. Some people with MS claim that smoking marijuana helps relieve spasticity and other MS-related symptoms. However, there is little evidence to date that marijuana really works. Research is ongoing to answer this important question. Until more is known, doctors do not recommend the use of marijuana to treat MS as the drug is associated with serious long-term side effects such as heart attack or memory loss."

On the plus side this would be why Montel is such a safer driver.

Then the justice system needs to be changed, not the laws.

Uh could you point me to where I said that on this thread.

What does Montel's alleged membership in PETA have to do with him being busted for pot?

Oh wait a minute; you Libertarians make Hillary blush with your use of hyperbole, nevermind.

If being a Libertarian means that I believe that we should drop the Drug War and focus on the War on Terrorism then I guess I am a Libertarian.

If being a conservative means I believe Montel Williams, Jeb Bush's daughter, Rush Limbaugh, Aaron Sorkin and millions of college students should be in prison breaking rocks then I guess I am not a true conservative.

I can't condemn the guy for smoking pot. I neither use drugs or drink alcoholic beverages, and see them as equally bad. Actually, alcohol users are worse than pot users, especially beer and wine drinkers. I keep my distance from both the druggies and the drunkards. They're only different from one another in their own eyes.

Though I'd personally like to see our society opt for no drug or alcohol use, the history of prohibition proved the folly of that experiment.

I'm of the opinion all drugs extracted from naturally occurring sources should be legalized, tax, regulated, and states given the right to determine what if any drugs they will allow. This with a stiff warning that any penalties that apply to drunks would be equally applied to drug users involved in offenses. All manufactured illegal drugs should continue to be illegal.

Uh JS, could you show me where millions of college students are wearing striped suits and breaking rocks.

You can't, but it seems that hyperbole is your drug of choice , and I am not surprised, hyperbole seems to be the drug of choice of Libertarians on FR.

Do you respect yourself that you have the same drug of choice as Hillary?
