Immigrate to this nation according to law, there is no problem, anyone who violates that law is not and cannot be a "life-long loyal member".

There's a lot that local law enforcement could do to solve that problem.

But here's another solution: Why not set up a center for these immigrants, run by both non-Arab and Arab Christians, with the sole purpose of helping these immigrants acclamate to the American way of doing things? You might have a chance to witness to some of these people, and win their hearts by serving them.

Let me give you an assignment: Write a NEW law that we can put on the books that will LEGALLY give temporary amnesty to current illegals, help them register and become citizens, and make it easier for more to do the same.

That way, your heart-wrenching passion for enforcing the law can be satisfied, and more people can pay taxes live here peacefully.

Oh, let me guess -- you just don't want them here in the first place, right? Legal or not.

$2 billion in CA alone is spent on educating illegal immigrants.

The US is becoming known as a nation with no rule of law, exemplified so clearly in the last few years by a sex-addicted President who tried to circumvent it himself.

The current immigration laws are a joke. Enforce them or change them. The current approach is a farce.

Many of the folks who are against illegal immigration are the same ones that were outraged that we sent that Cuban kid home to his father.
For what it's worth I too am against illegal immigration and am moving toward restricted legal immigration from certain "peaceful religion" regions of the world.

I want a legal, lawful, systematic way for people to get here on an expedited basis.

And I do not. I'm sure your friends, or many of the illegals I've met are good folks. But I don't want to have 20 million of them here, particularly when the school system is encouraging them to retain their mexican/gautamelan identity and language, or when our court system has determined ballots have to be printed in spanish to comply with the 14th. ammendment.

I think you are seeing too much good in people which is not there. The slimiest terrorist will smile in your face as he blows up that dynamite belt. You truly have to be realistic. I have less of a problem with Latinos simply coming and living on the dole than I do Arabs looking to kill my kids. However, if one gives to one group, we must give to all.
At this point, enforsing the immigration laws is a matter of security.
