In a way this is even worse news for Viacom. Now there's more time and incentive to leak more damaging stories about this movie, CBS, and Viacom. Drudge made it sound on MSNBC last night like he's working on more stories. Love to know just what the principles knew and when they knew it, what Redstone's role in all this is, if the Toons have stuck an oar in....If they had just shelved the movie no-one would care, but now inquiring minds still want to know...

Are these people dumber than a box of rocks or what?!

Thanks for the link.

La Streisand can't be too happy about this.

This is nothing less than a *major victory* in a 40-year culture war that the Libs have been winning. Amazing really. To get a network to drop a mini-series like this is staggering.

Take a bow Conservatives! :)

You haven't watched Showtime in a long time have you? Showtime will probably edit back in everything that CBS takes out. They're the same network that did a movie about Clarence Thomas which portrayed him as a monster worse than Jeffrey Dahmer. This is the same network that airs a show about faggots having sex with 16 year old boys and a show about the joys of lesbianism.

They'll love this show.

What would you expect when a lesbian and two fags took on the project of portraying the Reagan presidency? Moonves ought to be canned for this stunt. And my boycott of the proposed sponsors, especially Hallmark, is final.

In a recent interview Mr. Brolin said that the film depicted, to some degree, Mrs. Reagan taking control of the White House as the president's health began to fail. Mr. Reagan has had Alzheimer's disease for years. "She took over," Mr. Brolin said. He said the film showed the Reagan family as troubled, with their children not especially close to their parents.

Obviously Mr. Babawawa holds no bias towards the Reagans and doesn't reinvent history (read: tell lies).< /sarcasm>

Oh yeah. Only the Times had this story. Idiots.

I guarantee you that Les Moonves knew EXACTLY what was in this movie since he APPROVED the script. Now he is pretending that "others" went too far. I hope Moonves is FIRED. It will be VERY INTERESTING to hear what Howard Stern has to say today about Moonves.

I've yet to figger out why the Slimes printed the story. There's a backstory there all right.

I'm sure he did, too. I'm sure they all did. But they've all been denying it. And since this they haven't shelved this and made the story a nine day's wonder, there's more opportunity for the truth to come out. And about a lot more than just Moonves. If only all the rabid lefties in this country were this stupid.

Maybe someone at the Times was boinking Julie Chen and then Les Moonves swept her away with the promise of an anchorperson job. This might have been an example of jealous revenge.

CBS executives have been reworking the film over the last week, trying to fix what many critics - none of whom had seen the film and were relying mostly on a report in The New York Times about its contents - called inaccurate and unfair portrayals of the former president.

The CBS chairman, Les Moonves, became concerned amid those complaints and ordered a revision of the film, several people close to the process said.

Let's see, Moonves ordered a revision, so it looks like those critics who never saw the tripe-but only relied on reports-had a reason to be critical.

Mr. Reagan has had Alzheimer's disease for years. "She took over," Mr. Brolin said.

Mr. Reagan delivered his "Tear Down This Wall" speech in front of the Brandenberg Gate in June 1987... He defended American principles and traditions before hundreds of students at Moscow University, without notes and unscripted, in the spring of 1988... Yes, Mr. Brolin, these were the ramblings and rantings of a Alzheimer-demented homophobe: maybe you should look in the mirror and do a bit of assessment.

Here's an idea for CBS -- replace the Reagan hit piece with a real documentary of his accomlishments, particularly his impact on the people of the former Soviet Union.

Their ratings would go through the roof!
