Schwarzenegger Taps Florida's Arduin as Budget Chief (Update1) Nov. 3 (Bloomberg) -- California Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger named Donna Arduin, Florida's budget chief under Governor Jeb Bush, to serve as director of California's $100 billion budget.
Arduin, 40, is on leave from her Florida post to conduct an independent audit of California's finances in advance of Schwarzenegger's first budget plan due in January. Schwarzenegger made the announcement in a written statement from his Sacramento transition office. Arduin's immediate task will be to find ways to fill a budget deficit that could exceed $20 billion in the fiscal year that starts July 1.

Arduin will replace Steve Peace, a former state Senator and filmmaker who wrote the screenplay of the 1977 cult movie `Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.'' Davis appointed Peace to the position last January. Oh my god, that was the ONLY movie I have EVER walked out on in my life. It was easily the worst movie ever filmed that ever got released nationally...

"Arduin will replace Steve Peace, a former state Senator and filmmaker who wrote the screenplay of the 1977 cult movie `Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.'' Davis appointed Peace to the position last January."What a strange world. The career politician appoints a filmmaker to "manage" the budget of the richest state in the union, while the blockbuster film star appoints a career professional to that same post.
Well, at least the adults are coming back into control of that state...

Steve Peace's high point of accomplishments was that movie, the "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.''
His career has been skidding downhill since then. He just went over the cliff when his budy Davis got regime changed.
