Hardball airs every weeknight at 7, 11 & 4 am eastern and 4, 8 & 1 am pacific on MSNBC
Tonight we lead with this disturbing Washington Post story of the possible radiological or "dirty bomb" attack that caused officials to raise the terror alert level to orange and the developing story of the man U.S. authorities are asking French officials to track down. The Afghan suspect is thought to be the mystery passenger behind a number of those Air France flight cancellations last week...Basically it'll be a "tracking the terrorists" type of segment...
We'll talk to former SecDef under Kennedy & Johnson Robert McNamara on all of the above plus the new documentary of his life as well as his thoughts on today's foreign policy scene.
And the big story from the White House today is the granting of some type of limited amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in America...Pat Buchanan is fired up as Hell as you can imagine...He'll join us in the D block to tell us why this is a bad idea...Apparently he was droppin' it hard on the "Today" show this morning with Rep. Loretta Sanchez..
In the Buzz we'll talk to Frank Luntz and a couple of others to get into the new USA Today Gallup polls...
Bush was to promote a major overhaul of American immigration policy - and break a virtual silence on the issue since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks - before immigration-rights advocates on Wednesday at the White House. (MSNBC)

"The falcon is flying".
Gulf Air flies into NYC, Chicago and LA. Their logo is a falcon. Could a terrorist be coming on one of their flights?

America's Hunt for 'Dirty' Radioactive Bomb
NewsMax.com Wires
Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004
WASHINGTON The United States was reportedly on the lookout for radioactive "dirty bombs" during the New Year's holiday.
The government last month sent nuclear scientists to five cities holding large events, the Washington Post reported Wednesday: Washington, New York, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Baltimore.
The Post said experts from the Department of Energy were dressed casually and carried sophisticated radiation detectors in briefcases and golf bags.
Still on High Alert
Hundreds of scientists are still on high alert at military bases and are ready to fly to any trouble spots, according to the Post.
Officials fear a terrorist might detonate a "dirty bomb," a conventional explosive that spews radioactive material.
