When the entire country went to "Orange Alert" over the holidays, "internet chatter" was among the reasons for raising the alert.

It's not *just* about EOM, it's about all of them. "They" want to do harm to us in the worst way. We're observing and taking notes.

I don't see anyone freaking out here in Henny Penny mode, but I do see alot of folks who are being vigilant. Is that wrong?

I agree...I work in emergency preparedness and spent the last two weeks on the road because of this junk....I am burned out on threats too.

I guess I still have that investigative instinct intact from when I was a cop...I like to dig and analyze...I guess its a hobby while preparedness is a job now...

He's posting out of Juarez right across the border from Juarez.
Uninet provides services for Copernico and Telmex who is feeding back
through a sprint pipe into L.A.. Common telcom stuff for Mexico. He
is definitely at the border probably at a little shop that provides
internet connects. If he is spoofing it would be one hell of a decent
and accurate spoof.

Has anyone tried plugging Samir and Khodja into Twexus?
Makes for a couple of interesting combinations.
If you are familiar with Houston, you'll know right away what I'm referring to.

I have to laugh at these jihadis who believe - quite wrongly - that the Internet affords them any anonymity whatsoever. It doesn't.

It's certainly possible to obfuscate your tracks pretty well on the Internet. It is not, however, trivial. It's especially not trivial if you're trying to hide from the US & Govt ... there are a lot of tracking tools available, the ISP logs just scratch the surface. It does take a certain amount of time and effort however - which is why it isn't done for every little jihadi posting. It's also a lot easier to hide from J. Random User than it is to hide from John Law.

But fortunately for the good guys, many of these people don't really have a clue how to cover their tracks very well. A few do, and they're probably the most dangerous ones.

I wonder if anyone in Rotterdam knew how to process the yellow cake (that was just a crumb that felloff the cake, right?) into the red velvet uranium blue bonnet winner.

Well he did say he was on his way to Houston. This does become more interesting since we still don't know if this is a credible threat or not. But needs to be watched very carefully. Whoever found out that IP info should be invited over here.

Thanks for posting this, I don't like going into those groups.

Umberella / Taters ???

Careful with Twexus, loads of people are seeding the database with a lot of junk lately. Before anyone 'knew' about it, it may have been a slick way to pass obscure messages - Now it is a repository for folks possibly trying to put a spin on their own 'agendas'. IMHO :)
