ST. LOUIS -- A federal appeals panel has restored a Missouri inmate's lawsuit demanding religious use of an American Indian sweat lodge, suggesting that the imprisoned killer perhaps deserved more time to make his case. The ACLU needs to file a separation of church and state lawsuit here. The Government can't pay for religious trappings.

I have been to several sweats*. It can be a powerful and moving spiritual experience. Until you have been to one, don't knock it. There is a lot of healing that goes on during and immediately after a good "sweat."*
I am all for prisoners (of ANY religious persuasion) having access to a sweat* lodge.
