LA Governor Hopefuls Say Faith Personal: But Some Say Beliefs Have Political Effect

No voter paying much attention to the governor's race could have missed the fact that Republican Bobby Jindal defines himself as a Christian.

His standard speech includes at least a passing mention of his faith, and he often expands with the story of his teenage conversion when addressing church audiences or gatherings of evangelical voters who have been among his most avid supporters. He cites his Christian beliefs in ads and position papers highlighting his opposition to all abortion, without exceptions, and his support for the public display of the Ten Commandments, the teaching of creationism in schools and for government aid to faith-based charities.

FYI..there was a story about the race in Sunday's NY Times..they said "all the polls said the race was evern"..they also referred to him as Piyush the first 4 times them mentioned his name...only, towards the end of the story saying that he changed his name to Bobby...

Yea, but did they say in 1991 that Clinton was an assumed name and that his birth certificate name was really "Blythe"? Later there were questions as to whether Blythe was his biological father.
