How many politicians would not seize an opportunity like that? Mario Cuomo never did. Bill Bradley didn't for a long time. Then he did, and it did him no good. Wesley Clark had "Hillary" numbers, til he actually got in the race, now he's got Edwards numbers. Hillary Schmillary.

If any Republicans were the least bit disappointed in W and were thinking of staying home, this will certainly bring them out.

Hillary will only run if she believes that Bush can only be beaten by her. When looking at the 9 dwarves, she has reason to believe that this is her chance.

She'll lose.
She'll take the dem road of attack without alternative.
She will be rejected. It will end her political career, as she'll lose the Senate too.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
I still predict that Hillary will not run because she is angling to be Attorney General.

I have stated from the beginning that she will run. She wants it so bad she can taste it.

Hill would have an outside chance against Bush. Primarily, because the entire American left wing from CPUSA to DLC would loyally vote her name. She would have to get at least 50% of the independents and hope Bush bungled on getting his base to the polls. Bush should beat her by about 7% nationwide. I hope she does run.

If Hitlery runs, I strongly suggest that all the "Bush is not conservative enough" Republicans (like me) and conservatives forget their problems with GW and vote for him. Whatever Pres. Bush's failings are, at least he's not a Clinton...

I know she's running because she said she wouldn't.
When has the Witch ever spoken the truth?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
I don't think she's running. Although the nomination would be hers in a cakewalk, the other nine would inflict some damage on her, thereby making visible the huge rifts in the dem hierarchy. Furthermore, all polls show that, even if she is nominated, she will lose to W, and the economy and Iraq will only get better before election day '04. She doesn't want to lose. She will wait.
I think.

A lot of political debt is owed to the clintons, so her nomination by the democrat party is very certain, esp since no one else is a clear front runner.
Furthermore, unless bush can get the jobs and factories back by next summer, and unless he can balance the federal budget and balance of trade by next summer, who ever is nominated by the democrats will win. Time is running out for bush to spend some time on the United States economy and american job creation instead of spending so much of his time and efforts trying to bring peace to the middle east.

Up until now, I would have dismissed an article like this as mere speculation. But not now.
To reach the conclusion that Farrar does, you only have to count on two, hard-wired defects in the "character" of Hillary! He is right that she has the same characteristic as her husband -- lying comes naturally to her. But there is a second characteristic he doesn't mention -- her towering capacity for self-deception.
All people with the dictatorial mindset, and Hillary! is certainly one of those, surround themselves with toadies who assure them that everything they say and do is brilliant, just and successful. Absent such kowtowing, subordinates do not last long in the presence of the Dear Leader (excuse me, I meant to say, the Junior Senator from New York).
The net effect of this collective self-delusion is that Hillary! may disbelieve the hard evidence from many polls that she cannot win the election against President Bush. If she knows she can have the nomination, and believes she can win, then her ego will drive her into the race.
I point out one difference between Hillary! and Lady MacBeth. Lady MacBeth had a conscience, after the fact. With the blood on her hands, Lady MacBeth did say, "Out, out, damned spot." No evidence has ever been presented that Hillary! has any semblance of a conscience, at any time.

This guy is not the first who has predicted that the "I AM OWED" leader of the dims will run.
I do not believe she will "RUN" that is beneath her, I believe she will get herself "DRAFTED" at the convention. She has already run twice and now she is owed that position and what would make the "BIG" news, get everybodys attention is a "BIG" show at that convention in Boston.
What "I AM OWED" seems to be doing now is planting seeds of discord amongst the "nine" to take away their potential credibility of "winning" against President Bush. She must destroy them while screeching about President Bush to give herself cover.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
With Hillary in the race, it will be as black and white as black and white will ever be.
Hillary or Bush.
There will be no third choices.
