Big welcome home for Sgt. Mike and for precious time with m-a - home and family.
Please let him know how grateful we are for his service, and that he has an army of Freepers praying for him - and his family, and his troops.
See you in 2 weeks +.
Thank you for this thread, hoosiermama - and for the ping, Tonkin.

I know how excited you are. My husband was in Vietnam and we got to meet for R&R after 9 months apart. He sure looked good, though he'd lost weight, and I didn't want to let him go back.
Hug your husband and make the most of your two weeks together. I'm sure it will be difficult to deal with the tragic deaths and injuries to those involved in the helicopter attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I would like to take this time to thank you mystery for the sacrifice you make giving your husband to the free world, this sacrifice you make helps protect every family that respects FREEDOM. To your husband, our heartfelt thanks for all he does everyday of his life. He has done so much to protect my family and words can not describe the love and honor I feel for him and all the soldiers that have dedicated their lives to this cause.
Enjoy this short time together, make the most of every moment, savor every laugh and every tear because they are all special.
Please express to the families our prayers and our thankful thoughts are with them and their loss. What brave and selfless men they were and we thank them. guido
