An average of one immigrant a day died last summer trying to cross illegally in this area - a record number.

This is tragic. There's got to be some way we can improve these numbers.

It's also a lie. Less than 245 people died in the desert this year, and even less died last year. That isn't one a day, not even close. This is a heart-string tugging propaganda piece designed to get the feel-good crowd on board for amnesty legislation. Nothing less.

This is the typical attitude of illegal aliens because of our government's refusal to actually enforce the laws. The illegals know what once they get in they have a 99% chance of staying and living off the American taxpayer. This article and the many like it we've seen lately, are part of what appears to be a coordinated effort nationwide to forestall any effort to oppose illegal immigration amnesties, or even debate their effects on America.

When you look at all the legislation granting amnesties that is working it's way through congress right now, along with the freedom rides and more and more articles like this, it seems to be more than coincidence.

When will American leaders care about our sovereignty that has been violated by this mass invasion? I guess they'll do anything for a vote that they think they MIGHT get. This stinks.
