"Alcohol and tobacco were indigenous in the culture before we had an FDA. "
The FDA is not GOD!
Gifted by God, this herb has been cultivated around the world since the very beginning of cultivation as the record shows. Hemp butter was a mainstay of Europe for centuries. It has been found in burial mounds of the first horsemen. It has been found in the hulls of rowing ships at the bottom of the mediterranean. It was grown by many of our Nation's Founding Fathers. The indigenous people of this land have a legend of the Hemp-barrer. But, indigenousness is not a requirement in a Free Republic for freedom of religion.

The Blue Meanies are persecuting those who want to practice the indigenous religion of Monezuma!

The FDA is not GOD!Careful, brother - you're offending the religious sensibilities of all those who worship the STATE.
How many are they?
There numbers are legion, unfortunately. ;^)

Gifted by God, this herb has been cultivated around the world since the very beginning of cultivation You seem to overlook than we were thrown out of Eden because we didn't obey God. I believe there was a disagreement about horticultural uses.
You seem to overlook that God flooded the world and killed off everyone except Noah and his descendants because people had become so evil.
You seem to overlook that Sodom and Gomorrah were rained with brimstone and everyone in them killed by God for their evil, licentious ways.
I hope you don't have a joint in your mouth when Christ comes again to judge how you have used the talents He gave you.
