Revisionist history isn't limited to movies .... remember the attempt to portray the flag raising at Ground Zero in a PC way, with men of different races and slimmed down rather than as the famous picture showed them?
Not to mention the revisionist tripe that Pope Pius XII was "silent", much less "Hitler's Pope". That wasn't TV either, and it sure as hell has been effective.
