This was hardly an assassination attempt. President Bush was in a holding area and a woman and her three kids rammed a building. The president was in no danger at any time. Sheesh! Things get so blown out of proportion sometimes. The question is, why do people keep getting through Bush security? This is not the first time.

Thousands of people jammed to the rafters the sports arena where the rally was held. Along the front rows, audience members screamed their support for Bush and Barbour through plexiglass boards left over from a hockey game.

Now that the uproar over Joe Wilson's wife has died down, at least for the moment, here comes another made-for-a-Newsweek-cover story: Woman, mother of 3, targeted by Bush's gunmen, survives murder plot. What did the President know? Paul Krugman just got something for his next column, in which he will insinuate that President Bush was behind the SS attack, and will castigate him for not paying for new tires for the woman out of his own salary.
