Cana is recorded as the first public display, not the first.

Cana is recorded as the first public display, not the first. Incorrect. The record, which is what we are going on, says it was indeed the first.
This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. John 2:11
If it was the beginning of signs then it was the first sign.
