The President left Columbus, Ohio (just thought I'd mention that again....) yesterday for a fundraiser in San Antonio, Texas, and from there went to Crawford, Texas and Prairie Chapel Ranch, where First Lady Laura was waiting for him. Yesterday, the biggest surge in economic growth (7.2%) in 19 years was announced, and today the House of Representatives passed the $87.5 billion Iraq/Afghanistan package, with grants and not loans, as the President wanted, which the Senate is expected to pass on Monday. Good news for our stellar President! Rather than going immediately back to Washington, the President is traveling to California on Tuesday.
There are no new pictures from today, but a few nice leftovers from yesterday. Apparently the President is enjoying some of that quality time at the ranch with Laura that he talked about yesterday...........Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Happy Halloween everybody! I'm at my folks in California. Woo Hoo!
Attended a Bush Campaign meeting on Wednesday night and EVERYONE is fired up! It's going to be a great campaign. Lots of work to do but many eager beavers and lots of young people too! It was very exciting.

It's NOT a good thing for us to have leftover candy around here.
My will power is very good if I don't have the stuff in the house, but when it is, I'm in TROUBLE!

When the War started, they screamed: "Quagmire, we'll need thousands of body bags, Bush's plan sucks, we need more troops, and complained of a complete and utter lack of planning from Day 1 till the statue fell.
When we trounced Iraq in record time, with few casualties and almost zero collateral damage, and sent the Baathist thugs to the mattresses with Saddam, they screamed: "We knew the War part would be easy, but we'll never Win the Peace." and they dragged out their ancient Quagmire signs from behind the VW bus rusting in the back yard and hit the Protest Circuit.
The same thing is happening again with the Economy, they screamed: "The economy was the worst in American History, all the way back to Columbus." Now that the tax cuts and the lingering hangover of 9-11 is appearing to lift the economy out of Recession, they are changing their tune again.
Now, they are saying: "Sure the Economy is doing better, everyone knew it would improve with the refund checks, but where are the jobs and it won't last long anyway cause the checks are spent and the deficits are out of control. Next quarter it'll crash and we need a Medicare program for prescription drugs. And, did you know, Bush is out to kill the environment and starve old people."
They just change the subject whenever the gas runs out of what they've been screaming.
That's the benefit of the Democrats devious three-tiered political strategy-- 1) a really stupid core constituency devoid of logical analysis skills (except over/under point spreads), coupled with 2) complete control of the stupid people's Media options, coupled with 3) a cabal pyschotic monsters in control who lust for power at the expense of our county's security.
It's a rare trifecta. It's also a recipe for entry into "History's grayeyard of forgotten lies". They must be defeated soundly and they will be. Zell Miller is right.
Will the last Democrat into the dustbin, please blow out your organic candle?

***Yeah. Dang mini-Heath bars... plus it's hard to type while picking toffee out of my teeth....***
I'm thinking that everry house on both sides of this block must have pounds and pounds of candy left over. SO, maybe I'll put on a costume and go make them happy by relieving each house of at least a pound of chocolate. They'll thank me! I KNOW they will.
.........................................OR............................................
Maybe I'll put on a costume and go to every house and yell, "Treats," and give everyone MY candy. I donno! Which do you think I should do?

Isn't the weather this evening absolutely beautiful!!
Hubby and I just got home from an evening at the New Port Levy where we had the most wonderful time walking along the Ohio River!! [NOTE: The kiddies are at different Halloween slumber parties, so hubby and I decided to go out on a 'date'! -- I'm assuming our romantic First Couple is doing much the same thing this evening at their Crawford ranch!]

Well, my goodness, McLynnan, I'm sure he just forgot. I mean, golly, he has a lot on his mind you know. Would you like me to phone him and remind him? Anything for my old boating pal.
