IRRC, the Edmund Fitzgerald was found and photographed recently.

Technically, it was "found" a few days after it sank. It's location was always known, but it wasn't until a few years ago that a submersible craft was used to do a detailed inspection of the wreck. The position of the wreck at the bottom of the lake (broken in two, with the rear half overturned) appears to support the theory that the ship took on water through the cargo hatches.
