[history]
AUGUSTA, Maine -- A Senate majority, over pronounced Republican opposition, confirmed Gov. John Baldacci's five nominees Thursday for the board of directors of Maine's fledgling Dirigo Health program.
The nominations were not imperiled, since it would have taken a two-thirds majority to reject any of the governor's choices for appointment.

I am so glad that I changed my state of residency to New Hampshire. Maine is a communist satellite of the People's Republic of Taxachusetts. I am content to abandon those fools and let them destroy themselves.

Baldacci thinks he can lead us to Utopia when in reality he'll just lead us down the failed socialist rathole.
The man has some sort of gognitive disanance, ranting on the radio about "good jobs, with good benifits", forgetting all the while that his own mother fed, clothed and educated him by slinging pasta and waiting on tables.
Only in America, from service industry to effete elitism in one generation.

Does his family still own that restaurant? I heard that's one reason he doesn't want that Casino! Then they will have to pay their help more money in order to keep them!

I believe that one of Baldy's brothers is running the restaurant, but I'm not sure. His sister runs Momma B's Kitchen right across the street from the Penobscot County Court House.

"I guess I would have to say in all honesty I am embarrassed by the action of my caucus," Mayo said. RAT Mayo usually votes with, and frequently caucuses with the Dems.
I have no idea what they did to embarass him.
