If you wake up with a sugar hangover Saturday morning, blame the Snickers. The peanut-stuffed candy bar is Halloween's most popular treat - dropped into about 1 in 5 kids' bags.

Snickers, which was named after the candy-making Mars family's favorite horse, will scare up about $350 million in sales this year, according to industry figures.

When I looted my kids loot I always went for the Snickers first.

My kid is allergic to peanuts. There seems to be a rise in children being allergic to peanuts.

Don't you people know to go for the popcorn balls?
You must, at whatever cost, keep the popcorn balls out of the hands of children!

My daughter was allergic to peanuts cooked in peanut oil. She could eat peanuts that were dry roasted and she could eat peanut butter.

I have been told that usually peanut oil is the culprit in childhood allergies to peanuts.

All I know is you can't get a Mars bar anymore.

They are now called Snickers with Almond.

Weird. I just complained about that on another thread today...I guess we're in sync!

I'm sticking with Plan A: Clean out the car tomorrow morning, removing all of the fast food joint condiment packs.

They'll all be gone by 8pm tomorrow night, and I'll have saved a couple of bucks in the process.

Have you seen any of the different Reese's cups, like the inside-out one?

My doctor was talking about that. Peanut allergies used to be rare. Now they're common, and deadly for many.

We have had, in the last 6 months, Reese's with white and dark chocolate, then I started seeing them with honey roasted peanuts.

Maybe other Florida Freepers have seen these as well.

IMO the inside-out ones are the only ones worth a darn.

Wow, I like the idea of cleaning out the car and using the condiment packets as treats! Since my budget is tight I guess I'll abandon my regular routine of giving the kiddies scoops of ice cream and go with your plan this year.

Wow! I have 6 or 8 of those, well Ziplocked, in the freezer....for some stupid reason, I've always kept them well preserved hoping they'll get me the big bucks.

What do you think? They've got to be 12 or 13 years old, but they still look better than Reggie does right now...
