I love nature, and I love to dive. I would gladly sign up for that cruise. Any of the nature-o-phile programs that I have been involved in including TR's Audubon Society have subjected me to a series of lectures on how Conservatives hate the enviornment. I reject "Global Warming" theories, and I undestand that we can safely exploit oil in Alaska. I believe in ethical animal husbandry. But all of still jibes with a understanding of the need to protect God's gifts to us. Jax, don't forget to read this article.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! I've been pretty active in some "environmental" causes in the past(including the Sierra Club), and have been a vegetarian for some 15+ years, but the second I blurt out something remotely conservative or Republican, I'm an outcast AND I get to hear what a "stupid, evil" man my President Bush is. I've either withdrawn or been asked to leave several vegetarian sites (it's a badge of honor actually!) for standing up for my political views. That's probably why I don't usually share my OTHER views: against Kyoto, for drilling ANWR, or that I believe PETA and ELF/ALF are merely ecoterrorists. They couldn't handle hearing that! LOL!
