Please Help Watch If Guns Kill People (Gun Cam)
Gun Cam (by way of PatrioticAmerican on LibertyPost.com -- thanks PA!) ^ | July 23, 2003 | Robert Frenchu

For some time I had been wondering, "Do guns really cause crime? " I kept reading about "gun violence" and "gun deaths" and so many things blamed on guns.

Then, foreign-owned Smith & Wesson sold its soul* to Impeached President Bill Clinton & Co. and I decided to rid myself of anything I owned that was produced by that evil corporation. In my sock drawer, I found my once-trusty Model 19.

I was about to throw it in the recycle bin with my cans when a thought occurred to me- why not use it for testing purposes? I'll watch it and see if it causes any violence. Well, a month passed and nothing, but of course, I had to sleep, use the bathroom, and go to work- it could have caused violence during any one of those times when I wasn't watching. So then I thought, what if I harness the Power of the Internet?

So, I pointed my camera at it so anyone connected to the Internet can now help me watch for signs of violence.

Of course, if anyone sees anything even remotely suspicious or out of the ordinary, please email me at once.

I'm terrified that my new Lincoln Navigator might go on a similar rampage (think of all the HORRIBLE things SUVs do on their own). I'd best arrange my garage to keep it under constant video surveilance and train my AK dreviative to shoot it at the earliest sign of any problem. Of course, what's the AK going to do after that. It only has to travel about 8 miles to reach the nearest school, and I haven't trained it how to walk yet.

How do we know that gun isn't passed out from a night of drinking and carousing?

BTT. I have a Smith 19 as well - maybe we could get them together and make little derringers...

Okay, but I'm putting my barrel in your cylinder, not the other way around.

You're right. I see traces of lipstick on the barrel.

If they figure out they can trade services, we're screwed.

Oh... typical of you gun supporters to set up what is obviously a "rigged" test... we all know the REAL danger is from automatic weapons... HA caught you out! I would like to see if you were brave enough to try that test with an assault rifle... I bet it would run amuck... You are only brave enough to show this SET UP with a tame hand gun. We can see through this you know we liberals are not STUPID!!!

Guys, good point. I'll let Messr. Frenchu know right away, the inherent flaw in his test.

Everyone run!

There was a movie -- I forget the name -- in which a group of PC liberals were all in a circle talking about destroying home schooling or something, and someone tossed a cigarette into the middle. One of them yelled, "CIGARETTE! HIT THE DECK!" and they all sucked dirt at once.

I know Robert Frenchu from the old Fidonet newsgroups. He's a good egg, and very funny too!

NTTAWWT.

Sorry, the meaning of that response is eluding my understanding. For the moment. Oh, I don't feel dim or anything... after all, you *do* have that unusual bit of stream-of-consciousness writing on your profile page. Man, that looks like something out of the collected works of B. Kliban. ;-)

You like? I should continue this story. My goal is to make it as bizarre and awful as possible.

Ah, I see. Guess I'm not on the Seinfeld wavelength today!

Yeah, I like the story (and you put the "to be continued" in just the right spot. Here's an examble of Hap Kliban's more lengthy bits of cartoon dialogue:

Kliban was one twisted-up sumbitch, to be sure.
