FALLUJAH, Iraq - Insurgents attacked a freight train with an improvised bomb Thursday, setting four containers on fire and setting off a spree of looting by residents, witnesses said.

The attack occurred on a rail line four miles west of Fallujah against a train that carries freight, mostly for the U.S. military, from this city to Haditha, about 135 kilometers to the northwest.

The engineer escaped injury and fled the scene, witnesses said.

As soon as the flames subsided, local residents swarmed over the wreckage, carrying off computers, tents, bottled water and anything else they could carry away.

Ahhh, has everyone noticed the subtle change in the reporting? These frickin' Baath and Al-Qaida terrorists are now being referred to as "insurgents", yesterday I saw an article from the NYT that referred to them as "resistance fighters". How long before the liberal media calls them "patriots"?

Now we are back to looting.

Iraqi's loot their nation..burn their info structure,,then blame the U.S. for the Chaos.

Clerics take AK-47's in the Mosque..wave them for the Faithfull...a few Satanic verses..then the crowd breaks out into chest beating and Parrot one liners to Allah.

I wonder if there is a banner or LED signage hanging somewhere in Bugdud announcing......Looting Accomplished

They are not looting are they, surely not. They are just gathering the supplies together to carry them to the courageous men and women that fought for their freedom.

Well, someone could get a photographer there, so why couldn't an Apache or AC-130 show up to take everyones' "picture?"

That kid looks real concerned about Uncle, doesn't he? Well, hell... let's just let everyone laugh at us now, too.

The same can be said of liberals: Liberals loot their nation..burn their info structure,,then blame the U.S. for the Chaos.

Doesn't Islam - supposedly the world's greatest religion - prohibit theft?

Striking social paralells...

Iraqi's go to Mosque...then exit to go Looting and Burning.

Dem's go to Bhuddist Temple...then exit to go Looting and Burning.

***Doesn't Islam - supposedly the world's greatest religion - prohibit theft?***

To put things into some kind of perspective, doesn't Christianity frown on sin? Whoever claims that Islam is the world's greatest religion, must be a Muslim. IMO, Islam is not a religion, simply an excuse for certain behavior.

If true, we are whistling past the graveyard in our attempt to "uplift" Iraq right?

Replay the recordings of the event from our surveilance satellites to see where the perps came from and where they went.

***If true, we are whistling past the graveyard in our attempt to "uplift" Iraq right?***

I assume "If true" refers to Islam as a religion, and "whistling past the graveyard" means Iraq is simply a scary place to get to the other side of. Not sure of your message, but I don't think we are attempting to "uplift" Iraq for the sake of Islam.

Thanks, TexKat! From the photos, it looks like this train runs out in the middle of nowhere. This looks like another instance of photographers and citizens having advance knowledge of the event.
