Every little bit helps, people. We have to help Ohio change from a "Rights Denied" to a "Shall Issue". It doesn't matter if you don't live there. Chances are a lot of out of staters helped pass the CCW in your state. Let's help Ohio.

By the way, did you see those FBI statistics between Michigan and Ohio? In the time that Michigan passed the CCW law and the time that Ohio hasn't, Michigan's crime rate went down and Ohio's went up. Ohio actually passed Michigan in crime.

If I was Ohio, I'd be a little irked about that. Detroit has about the same population as Cleveland, Dayton, and Cincy put together. I wonder why(besides CCW which is only one factor) Ohio's crime went up so much.

As for Wisconsin, Doyle pushed for a total ban before he decided to run for governor if I remember right. Maybe he's backed off like Granholm.

Sometimes I wish the governors wouldn't back off. They can veto and then the voters can send them to the unemployment line to join Texas's Ann Richards.

It's starting to look like another three states may get their CCW laws counting Missouri again. Ohio and Wisconsin.

WHEN: Thursday, OCTOBER 30th at 11:00 a.m. Hyatt Regency 350 N. High St.

WHAT: Local organizers in Columbus Ohio will protest to show the Republican National Committee and the Bush Campaign that Ohioans’ are no longer being represented by Governor Bob Taft or some members of the Ohio Senate Republican Caucus.

WHY: Governor Taft’s continued efforts to block the legislative process, override the will of the people and deny Ohioans the right to self-defense is in direct conflict with President Bush’s own record on self-defense in Texas and in foreign policy. Taft and certain Republicans who refuse to commit to a veto-override leave Ohioans defenseless against violent attack. This protest is intended demonstrate that Ohio Republican politics are hurting President Bush’s re-election chances in Ohio, because his base has become so disillusioned by Taft’s record on taxes and Second Amendment rights. If concealed carry legislative reform does not take place in Ohio prior to the 2004 Presidential election, concealed carry proponents believe Ohio Republicans will do serious damage to President Bush’s reelection chances.
