What exactly would be your issue in going to the original article in the original publication and linking it from there? Is there a problem somehow in that?

The prohibition of posting entire articles for the LA Times and Washington post and their subsidiaries had nothing to do with barring liberal political articles. It was part of an agreement reached in a lawsuit involving copyright and free use, so now we have to excerpt from those sources and use links to the original sources. Most of us hate excerpting or registering with a site to view an article, so as a result there are less articles posted from those sources. Point is, it wasn't the doing of the owner in this case.
