No, Macs, Linux and other Unix boxes can be brought down with stack overflow exploits.I never denied that. But this particular exploit is Windows-specific.
If you'd like to find out if your particular box is suseptable I can forward you one of the evil emails and you can try clicking on the link.
Please do. I'll try it; even if I'm wrong and it will affect my Linux system, I maintain that it won't bring the box down as I'm not running in root mode and the account doesn't have permissions to modify any of the system software.

I pasted the long URL into Mac OS X Safari, and it brought up a normal web page for an insurance company. There were crashes or anything to indicate it was anything malicious or intended to hack into a computer.
