I've read Boykin's statements and I don't recall him saying that. He said that the Somali warlord worshipped an idol.

I understand why Bush cannot say to these Islamic nags, "Hey, Mohammed ... Go pound salt." Realpolitik dictates he offer some mushy crumbs to scolds from the Religion of Peace (one whose adherents perpetrate "honor" killings, plot to pick up where Hitler left off, and engage in mass murder via hijacked jetliners).
All the president need do is ensure Gen. Boykin is in no way censured -- let alone reassigned -- for his fair and legitimate comments.
That alone will send a subtle rebuke to whiners who strain at the gnat of alleged anti-Muslim bigotry, but swallow the camel of Islamic-inspired atrocities.
