Oh lots of luck... I just got off the phone with the regional office.. I told them that the local hospital has suspected illegal aliens employed doing groundskeeping. His reply.. Oh that isn't what I want to hear SUSPECTED. He said I must KNOW. I asked him How would I know? He replied, "by knowing the people that they are illegals." I asked HOW would I know those people? He said by living near them or working with them. He said if they are involved in criminal activities I should call the police.

I then told him I felt really safe if that is the attitude that HOMELAND SECURITY takes. He said Oh I understand. I then told him I guess they would wake up when we are surrounded and outnumbered by Mexicans.

In summary, he basically dismissed me.

Is it just me, or is this their lame response to us all who are returning the envelopes wanting donations heavily marked with 'stop immigration or no more money' returned to every politician postage due?

Withholding our meager donations is about the only course open to us.

Hopefully the big donors will be hard pressed to use their ill gotten gains (from illegal sweat labor) to make up the difference.

Of course they dismiss us. They don't REALLY want to do anything about it. Just lip service.

The groundskeeping crew for my condo seems to be largely Mexicans who don't speak English. Makes me wonder if they're illegal. And just like you, I'm concerned for the safety of my wife, who's at home pregant and soon to have our daughter.

I've lived in Mexico for about a year, and made some wonderful friends, so nobody has a right to call me racist or hateful. But if an illegal immigrant has commited one major crime, then it's easier for them to commit another major crime "just to seek a living."

So the question is ... what do I do about the landscaping company that seems to have hired a large number of illegals?
