First POW rescue mission.
Have you ever seen a post by #3 Fan on this Forum about any serious military topic that does not involve Jessica Lynch? Why is it that he does not obssess about the commander who planned the first POW rescue since W.W. II or the servicemembers that actually carried out the mission?
Because it's not necessary. The reason that this is the only military subject I post on is because Lynch is the only military person viciously attacked here. All other military personal are celebrated. Well, I did post on a thread that condemned those that took Iraqi wives, and a thread that condemned those that saw prostitutes in Australia, both times supporting our troops. So they took an Iraqi wife, so they saw a prostitute, what's the big deal, their fighting for our butts. And Lynch was in-theatre for us too.
Jessica Lynch gets the attention from the People Magazine crowd and from #3 Fan because she is blonde and cute. That's what sells fluff magazines. That's what "fans" obssess over.
No, because she is attacked here and nit-picked here.
That's why Anna Kournikova is one of the world's most famous tennis players although she never wins.
I've never posted a word about her, nor have I seen her play.
"Fans" don't have much interest in people that don't pass the "cute test". Them's the breaks.
No, I go where there is injustice.

#3 Fan, you consider any suggestion that PfC. Lynch be treated no better and no worse than any other servicemember in the U.S. Armed Forces rather than as the media-hyped pop culture pin-up girl of the Iraq War as a "viscious attack".
Such pop culture treatment has already embittered the loved ones of her dead comrades, has Shoshonna Johnson's father playing the Race Card and seeking similar pop culture treatment of his daughter and does not do much for the morale of other U.S. servicemembers who are wounded and dying without the "Jessica!" hype.
Pfc. Lynch needs to be treated, not as a pin-up girl, but as a soldier. She should get the same media attention as any other servicemember that has served in Iraq and has had sh*t happen to them.
As for you, you need to get a real life girlfriend. Media pin-up girls aren't a good substitute.
