One more carbomb or roadside IED away from...

I have had it. After yet one more hair-hurting conversation with a female friend about "it's so awful what is happening in Iraq to those soldiers"... I am reaching an epiphony. The iraqis who remain silent (intellectuals/imams/potential leaders/mothers) are the most ungrateful, disgraceful fools I could have ever imagined and do not realize what could happen. The silent arab leaders ringing Iraq are worse than disgraceful. They quasi-enemies for their silence. I think the U.S. should - loudly - say that unless the support for these attacks ends immediately, that the U.S. will pull out all troops from Iraq/Kuwait/Saudi - since the iraqis at this point deserve to be slaves to Saddam or whomever comes next. The neighbors deserve to cower in fear to the chaos that will surely follow. The dictators deserve to wait in despair, knowing the mob will be at their door next. But this does not mean the U.S. is surrendering in the war on terror. No. It would mean that the U.S. will only handle these matters strategically, not tactically. No more rebuilding, democratization, education, grants of billions. No. Just swift and utter retribution for attacks on our home or our interests abroad. Put this on the table in Baghdad and let the real people there decide what they really want. Maybe they can start printing some of those Saddam dinars again if the old bas&^%d is still alive. Maybe they can put Osama's ugly face on it and have a grand party when we leave. But if our intelligence (without having to consult the UN) detects WMD or threats of any sort, then use air, space, whatever naval assets (see France's recent thinking on this approach) to make the threat dust. Oh yeah, and we might not be able to be as nice here at home about foreign terrorists in our own country. Too bad. They had their chance - if only the good people who must outnumber the terrorist nazi/crazies would only open their mouths and drag their unwilling, ignorant societies into the twentieth century.

I suspect there is a lot of smiling Iraqi faces, who, behind the U.S. backs, are doing a lot of help to terrorism.

We've already pulled or are in process of pulling our troops out of Saudi. Kuwait is very much on our side. Pulling out of Iraq now would be seen by everyone, especially the Islamists, as an admission of defeat.

Which it would be. We routinely lost more men in a week in Vietnam than we've lose in the entire war and "peace" so far.

The problem is not what's going on in Iraq. It's people like your friend and their media and politician leaders.

Suppose we do that.

al-Qaeda will spin it as a glorious victory for Islam--they will brag about having driven the infidels out.

What's left of Iraq will become a "failed state," run by al-Qaeda.

Eventually, al-Qaeda will detonate a nuclear device in the United States. Right before they do that, they'll bug out of Iraq and let us slaughter a bunch of folks who had nothing to do with the nuke.

Never take the counsel of your fears.

It may be that the media is getting to me. After years of it I thought I was immune but it rots the soul. And it's election season so the venom is more virulent.

Pulling out of Iraq now would be viewed as a defeat . The Islamofacist would be greatly encouraged as would the closet communists of the Democrat party. What is needed is to take a page from the book of Vlad Tepic aka Vlad the Impaler ! Start with the sh*t stirring mullahs & imams and announce that the pike poles are greased with pig fat, & that for every GI killed twice as many folks from Tikrit will be impaled alive.

If we leave now the terrorist win. We stay and find out where the attackers are coming from, and go after them...screw the UN

Read an article the other day stating that Oakland , Ca reported it's 110th homicide this year!!! One city in the liberal heartland of Calif. with the same death toll as a country at war. !!!!!

Just thought I'd throw that in to stir things up...

Next time, just ask your female friend if she'd rather have Al-Qaeda operatives shooting little kids in the back at the local mall.

Last time we were in a world war, 3000 military personnel died in a sneak attack. I would that 3000 civilians killed in a sneak attack kind of cranks it up to World War status. I frankly don't care what Suzy Soccermom thinks.
