Stating it plainly and clearly would probably be against Free Republic's posting regulations ; )
Let's just say I think WND's office goes through a lot of toner...

...What if the idea here is not to take credit for the fires, just sit back and watch a BUSH-Supporting ARNOLD be forced to go back on his promise not to raise taxes because of the cost of these sudden massive fires in 2003..? Enter President HILLARY in 2004.
Great points.
Some Living History
Republican Bush wins the Presidency
9-11 Terrorists hit Dem. Hillary's New York.
Republican Arnold wins as Governor
Fires/Strikes hit Dem. Davis' California.
Terrorists have indeed stuck again.

Ask yourself this question: if you live outside the fire area do the fires give you the same sense of foreboding and fear as the anthrax letters and the DC sniper shootings? If not, then they are not working well as terrorist tactics. It is not enough to cause damage. Terrorism must instill fear, in fact, fear that is often disproportionate to the amount of damage inflicted.

...Recall ME, will ya..?They don't call him GRAY Davis for nothing.
Gray skies and Gray smoke.
And on top of it all, Davis was trying to take
credit for getting Bush to okay Federal Money.
"I did it! I asked Bush for help!...
"It was ME, I am the one who helped eveyone!!"
Gray's a little too gleeful
about having a
disaster on his watch.

One day "Democrat" and "terrorist"
will mean the same thing.

Another consideration is the war being fought
on the ground in the USA.
As one poster said so beautifully:
" Lost in the smoke and earthquakes - the MAJOR political earthquake pulled off by Republicans in this Democrat state so very recently."
Yes, how quickly the Media was able to forget about the
GOP victory in California and lessen the negative press
for the Democrats due to the oh, so timely California
fires.
Fires set by arson to stop the Arnie-effect from branching
out to the rest of the USA populace and to stop them from
joining in the celebration, perhaps?
Arson to Stop Arnie.
Arson to Stop Bush from winning in 2004.

The fires were set by Arsonists at
just the right time to cause the
most destruction.

I read recently here on FR that several of her rescue
team have since died, and the speculation was made that
they were being hit. Wish I could recall the thread. If what you say is true,
this would mean fewer Rescue Team members
to interview for Pro-Bush comments in the
coming 2004 Presidential Election.
Hmm. I wonder who would work this hard
to defeat Bush in 2004.
12 months and counting.

Actually I was of the mind that if it is at all intentional (and that's a big IF), it would be Saddam supporters doing the sniping at the rescue team; ie some terrorist group here in the US acting on behalf of those who are a bit miffed over her rescue.
