To all with whom I had discussions while I was out of town, thanks for your info and your concern. The fire stayed north of my home in Upland, which was never in danger. A house I once owned years ago in the Palmer Canyon area of Claremont, however, was destroyed. The "environmentalist" bastards who have prevented reasonable forest management are going to pay for this tragedy.

Doug from Upland - glad to see you made it home (and still have a home) OK. I never realized how many Freepers are in the LA and SD areas until now. I've been reading the threads for 4 days now, and I'm becoming rather familiar with the area.
