Doug from Upland - glad to see you made it home (and still have a home) OK. I never realized how many Freepers are in the LA and SD areas until now. I've been reading the threads for 4 days now, and I'm becoming rather familiar with the area.

I never realized how many Freepers are in the LA and SD areas until now. I've been reading the threads for 4 days now, and I'm becoming rather familiar with the area.

What's weird is that - until just before dusk this afternoon - we here in the Palm Springs area were probably the only southern Kalifornians to have no visible sign whatever of this fire storm.

Just now has the pressure shifted enough to allow the smoke from the fires to drift eastward. I look south and see the pall from the San Diego fires, and up north over the Coachella Valley and see the smoke from the Arrowhead fires.
