Because the cable news channels would rather cover tabloid stories it seems or stories about the RAT candidate debates for an election that is next November -- really important crap -- NOT!!!!!!
So disgusted with the media, I could scream! None of the cable channels deserve to use the word "News" in their titles. Not one of them is worth anything if you ask me. I had to watch the blackout 24/7 and hear about it but now SoCal is really on fire and we get four minutes at most!

In this case, it's an east coast bias. Remember the near hysteria over the hurricane that was headed for the east coast a few weeks ago? Compare that saturation coverage to coverage of these fires. Except for CNN, which is in Atlanta, cable and broadcast news operations are located in the eastern power corridor. To them, anything west of the Potomac barely exists.
