I think California has more liberals than any other state and they make their own problems by always voting for eco-idiot Democrats that won't allow forest management. Plus, the combination of mountain valleys and earthquake zones isn't the best place to build million-dollar houses.

I was wondering what the size was, relative to a state.

PHOENIX (AP) The FBI alerted law enforcement agencies last month that an al-Qaeda terrorist now in detention had talked of masterminding a plot to set a series of devastating forest fires around the western United States. Rose Davis, a spokeswoman for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, told The Associated Press that officials there took note of the warning but didn't see a need to act further on it...
Does anyone remember earlier this month...a thread about some big disaster that one of the big "terror" leaders put out...
A big disaster during or after their "celebration month"
??

Hey, troll, lemme put it to you this way:
California's one of the largest states in the continental US. You may not like that, but it's a fact.
California has one of the largest populations of the states. You might not like that, either, but it's true.
Having been one of the people who /watched/ the fire, and having heard from many Freepers who have had relatives affected/relatives lose their homes, or who have lost their homes/been evacuated, along with people like myself who only have coughs from breathing ash for the last few days, I can quite honestly say that you haven't even the foggiest clue what's going on here.
Take your opinion, fold it until it has many corners, and place it where the sun does not shine. Alternately, learn to be a human and respect the fact that 1,100 homes have burned to the ground... and that's fewer homes than most hurricanes affect, butthead.

Do people still do the I'm from Joisey bit? Just curious.
We are all americans though. We give to others who have been hit by disaster. It's just what we do. Californians give more through federal taxes, and through charity, than anybody else. Though it need not be said, I do think it's appropriate to point that out.

the problem is the wind and the blowing embers, I've got idiot neighbors with wooden shake roofs right next to me.
Hose, fire extuinguisher and chain saw standing by.
The wind will blow embers across the wash or it can burn through mentone into REdlands from Greenspot.
Roof check coming up

California has more conservatives than any other state. Please go. Many of us have family and friends in harms way. Go piss on another thread.
Jim, I don't think he took the hint.

Funny - only 130 of the 1,100 homes that burned are million-dollar homes. The rest are the average two-to-three bedroom home, or are apartment complexes, or are low-income housing...
And you're just begging to be slammed, so now that I've corrected you, I shall now ignore you. After all, your ignorance is showing.

500 kids and 1500 adults are at the SB International airport right now and they are concerned about people from Highland not being able to get there from Highland.
Is the fire moving into the Redlands area now? If it gets near the Crafton Hills, the hills will go up in flames as it was really dry when I was out there. Still cannot believe they allowed people to build in the Crafton Hills!

Fire, and canyon is never a good thing. The canyon acts to channel the winds, just hoping they can put a lid on it til airdrops come in the morning.

I didn't think what I said was all that bad, I guess it was.

The troll is living in the state inhabited by the following fine folks:
Jesse Jackson Jr; William Kennedy Smith (the palm beach rapist); Carol Mosley Braun; the Illinios Gunowners Assoc who gave money and public support to gun grabbers...... Somhow, he/she does not have a leg to stand on. Hugh Hewitt mention 400,000 acres burned, 15 (known) dead and entire communities consumed by out of control firestorms as of 4pm. So the term troll is almost too kind for that POS.
