Since I'm keeping the other thread as news-only, I want to beg a nice moderator or someone to please change the date on the news-only thread to the 28th, if they could...?
Pretty please, with sugar on top?

Spot fires in Devore at Palm and Oak Hill
To: Trampled by Lambs
I missed that one what area is it in?
To: Trampled by Lambs
According to KUSI (which has had great coverage, better than any of the cable news or networks), its now burning like hell up in the Cleveland National Forest, in largely unreacable (by land) areas.. headed north. There's a lot of open land up there and lots to burn. Please continue to issue reports from San Diego area. I have relatives living on a hillside just east of Lake Henshaw. The phone system is out in the entire area, including Santa Ysabel and Julian. Is the power out also? They might not be able to use their well in that case. I expect they may go to a center at Julian High School or even go down to Borrego Springs after they find a place for their animals.

No. It's frustrating. All I've heard, since the fire jumped 18, is that it was falling back on the Lake Gregory area. None of the news stations show any maps of the current fire area.
Strawberry Peak is by Twin Peaks, Rimforest, north of hwy 18 about 1/4 mile.
Just west of Lake arrowhead

Our old next door neighbor called us from San Diego at 9:00 PM. The winds have shifted and our old neighborhood south of Mission Gorge Road that was evacuted last night is now considered safe.
At least for tonight, we still own a San Diego house.

Sounds like Stawberry Peak is about to lose it's cell and microwave units.

fire is in the trees on both sides of Strawberry Peak....advising to send sheriffs to Twin Peaks and give one last warning to leave for holdouts....

It's the yearly "feel sorry for Californians" spectacle. They have either an earthquake or flood or fire or landslide at least once a year it seems. Is this suppose to be funny???

Thanks for the map. I wish the news organizations had your research skills.
