Operating a business without a license? What was the business? Crack house?

Yep. All retail sales businesses in SC (even if they are illegal) must have a license and collect sales taxes.

You mean I can't buy my liquor in bulk and store it until I'm ready to drink it? Amerika, ain't she great?

You can store all the liquor you want to on private property. But it is illegal to store liquor in a place of business.

Do governments think we are really THAT stupid? Or are they just looking for another charge?
I bet they have great fun with lemonade stands, huh?

You can't store liquor in a place of business? Hopefully you are being sarcastic. What about grocery stores, bars, wholesalers, restaurants, etc?
