True, there was a therapist who said she had gained small progress. That stuck in my craw.
Pearse was mentioned tonight but all I caught was Michael's chuckle & a shake of his head to Felos' reply. Have to go back & review my tape.
There's a possibility that Michael told the truth in the malpractice trial (don't everybody flame me at once), that he wanted to care for her. At the time, he could have held hope that she could be helped.
I don't know, just don't know. Except that Felos went for her money. Of that, I'm pretty sure.

Findings of fact are reviewed under a clearly erroneous standard, and judicial decisions either on a de novo (really low) or abuse of discretion standard.
If a third of the wild-eyed accusations of the Terri Troopers were true, any of these standards of review would be satisfied.

Nancy Mangler. That's an anagram for "TheAngryClam". Now if my name was Nancy Mangler, I'd might be anti-social too. Especially since I'm a guy.

Seeing as you didn't pose a question, I find it odd you're now begging me to answer it.

What I heard on Larry King tonight, we haven't had all of the facts. One of which was that Michael took Terri to California for a month, with a nurse, for experimental electrical tests on her brain.Good information. But one must know what kind of tests, and what were the results. Was it experimental? From what I remember, Michael didn't allow the parents to be party to that experiment nor the results.
And, Michael's comment that the first doctors would have seen fractures (bone breaks cause bruising, ya know) is all too true, & is a question many of us have asked from the first time we heard of the fractures.
I am no medical expert, but the first doctors may have assumed (based on info from Michael) that she collapsed from the bulimia induced potassium imbalance, and were not searching for strangulation marks. The fractures you mention were likely microfractures, and not something one sees unless looking for it. Also Michael could have come up with many explanations for any bruising that appeared.
Another factor is that if true she was a bulimic, then that self-inflicted disease causes a discoloration of the skin, which might hide any bruising. Poor circulation, same thing.
Then again, maybe he didn't strangle her. We don't know for sure (yet).

Sorry to bother you so much, but you bring up good questions.
If Michael took Terri to Cali for a month, and they conducted electrical tests on her brain which apparently did not work, one wonders why didn't he declare her brain dead then and have her starved?

So where does "as fishy as hell" fall on that continuum, clam?

Felos said he can tell is a person has no 'consciousness' by looking into their eyes. What he didn't say is that what he sees is DOLLAR SIGNS.

probably abuse of discretion for deciding not to recuse himself.

I don't recall any examiner of a tape, or of what length it was.
Knowing that we are on their tails, so to speak, Felos would be dumb to let Michael tell an outright lie on t.v. He might have but.... He was nervous, rightly so. I haven't listened to the call-ins yet to see how he reacted. Earlier, he stumbled, hesitated on his words several times but it didn't strike me as "obfuscation" - and I don't positively know he "mischaracterized" anything - presumably you mean the Schindlers. But, yes, that could have been made up to make them look bad.
This stuff about death threats upsets me. We have some newbies here - AND I hope they have enough sense not to do such a stupid thing. I won't be a part of any such group.
During the RECALL McCain petition, one of our dumber members took a dozen eggs to McCain's ranch outside Sedona. Fortunately, a smarter man told him, "NO!"

Findings of fact are reviewed under a clearly erroneous standard, and judicial decisions either on a de novo (really low) or abuse of discretion standard. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but for a finding of fact to be thrown out by an appeals court without a remand, it must be contradicted by 100% of the available evidence; if it's only contradicted by 99.44% of the evidence and there's 0.56% that supports it, an appeals court will respect the trial court's judgement regardless of whether or not any reasonable person would agree with it.

Again, this brings up the question of why this wasn't pursued by her parents at the time of her injury. Then, after being taken to the emergency ward, her case was mishandled, leading to the lawsuit which is where the money came from.
I would venture that there was too much going on when Terri collapsed(daughter possibly never to recover, hospital screws up, lawsuit to enter into, etc.) for them to spare time to pursue a possible case against Michael. They may not have have any of the information from the EMT's, etc. that you are talking about. So they may have been suspicious, but no clues were available.
To: TheAngryClam
How could that possibly be? Recusal only applies if there was an open, vested interest. A privately held, unstated (ideological) vested interest, on the other hand....
To: lakey
The first info I had gathered stated that Michael didn't come up with the 'she said to pull the plug if something ever happened', after he made his first visit to Felos.
Felos saw DOLLAR SIGNS and opportunity to set a precedent(IMO).
Michael may have let himself be led on by Felos, especially with his extramarital concerns constantly weighing his mind, and his religious convictions not allowing him an out. God will be his judge. The rest of us need to walk in his shoes first before attempting to judge.
To: HiTech RedNeck
Curious how the judge could have believed Michael and Felos - they come off on tv as crooked. Oh, yes, I forgot the judge is crooked.
Michael said Bobby had not visited for years. I tend to doubt that. Besides when barred by Michael, did Bobby visit?

What I have wondered is why her brother, who stated that Terri told him she was thinking of divorce, wasn't suspicious at the time he says Michael called him over.

If you're upset that there's a judge's ideology deciding cases, you should probably sit down for what I'm about to tell you:
Ready? That's how every judge works.

" One of which was that Michael took Terri to California for a month, with a nurse, for experimental electrical tests on her brain ." Add electro shock torture to the abuse Michael has done to Terri.
