Seems like he did a pretty good job managing the team. He did make a mistake in Game 7, but the Bambino made him do it.

Thats what amazes me. In a duel of wills between manager and multimillion dollar player, the dynamics are a little different, and you can't help but excuse a manager who defers from time to time.

How does this effect the "Pedro is a punk" curse?

To be fair, though, the Bambino curse has been supplanted by the "Pedro is a Punk" curse.

Note who didn't leave. They're still cursed.

Davey Johnson....wouldn't that be a hoot?
No....please hire Bobby Valentine, so I can start watching Baseball Tonight on ESPN again. He is one of the most annoying analysts they've had and I refuse to watch the show.

Seems like he did a pretty good job managing the team. Hardly... they won IN SPITE of him.
The Sox had something like 7 players have CAREER YEARS this season, and all we could manage was a Wild Card???
To: Chancellor Palpatine
Yeah, I know, but curses are funny things. If Little had any karmic baggage, getting rid of him might alleviate the other curse.
That being said, the punkness of Pedro is so great that it would take huge karmic adjustments to balance.

Yeah, but curses are funny things, and the baseball gods fickle. If Little had any karmic baggage, getting rid of him might have lessened the effect.

I don't excuse him for leaving Pedro in. That was a grave error. I wouldn't trust Pedro's word on it. The manager has to make the right call for all 25 guys, not just one. I am just saying that 95 wins is not too shabby, especially since they lacked depth in pitching.

"Well, then let em hire Linda Cohn as manager. She is unwatchable AND unlistenable."Please. I am trying to eat here.
To: Chancellor Palpatine
why do I find it tasteless that these teams hold press conferences to announce a firing?
