Thats what amazes me. In a duel of wills between manager and multimillion dollar player, the dynamics are a little different, and you can't help but excuse a manager who defers from time to time.

Seems like he did a pretty good job managing the team. Hardly... they won IN SPITE of him.
The Sox had something like 7 players have CAREER YEARS this season, and all we could manage was a Wild Card???
